For the field hockey community it is more than a competition: it is the annual celebration of the sport, drawing players, coaches, families and fans from all over the country to Rogowo in the Pa\u0142uki region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who was Klemens Maciaszczyk?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tournament's patron, Klemens Maciaszczyk (1922\u20131967), came from Gniezno and left a lasting mark on sport in Rogowo. He co-founded the LKS Rogowo club (1947) and, three years later, its field hockey section (1950), for which the club is famous to this day. Hockey ran in the family at the very highest level \u2013 Klemens's brother, Narcyz Maciaszczyk, represented Poland at two Olympic Games (<a href=\"https:\/\/olimpijski.pl\/olimpijczycy\/narcyz-maciaszczyk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">profile on the Polish Olympic Committee website<\/a>). The memorial held every year is a tribute to the man who started field hockey in Rogowo in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is playing this year?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Five teams take part in the 59th edition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>LKS Rogowo<\/strong> \u2013 the hosts and reigning Polish indoor champions 2026 (<a href=\"https:\/\/hokejsuperliga.pl\/games\/results\/superliga-hmp\/3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polish indoor championship results<\/a>)<\/li><li><strong>HKS Siemianowiczanka<\/strong> (Siemianowice \u015al\u0105skie)<\/li><li><strong>HK Pomorzanin Toru\u0144<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>KS AZS AWF Pozna\u0144<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Braunschweiger THC<\/strong> \u2013 guests from Germany who give the tournament its international flavour.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matches are played on both days of the weekend \u2013 admission to the stands is free, and the atmosphere in Rogowo draws whole families every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We will be there with you!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For us this weekend is doubly special. <strong>Field Hockey Zone makes its debut at the Memorial with its own stand<\/strong> \u2013 on both days of the tournament you will find us right next to the pitch. We are bringing equipment to Rogowo that you can pick up and try out, we will gladly talk you through choosing a stick for your age, height and playing style, and for the youngest visitors we have prepared skills contests with prizes.
